About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gain a deep understanding of markets and buyers to support product go-to-market strategy
  • Serve as the bridge between product, sales, and customers
  • Own messaging, positioning, and go-to-market support for Metrc’s solutions and services
  • Collaborate with product management, sales, customer success, marketing, support, and regulatory teams
  • Define market opportunities and conduct segmentation and targeting exercises
  • Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis
  • Develop differentiated product positioning and messaging for regulators, operators, and stakeholders
  • Support go-to-market planning and lead execution for product launches, feature releases, and market expansions
  • Write and socialize marketing plans, sales enablement plans, and solution playbooks
  • Provide market and buyer insights for campaign strategies, demand creation, and reputation building
  • Partner with marketing to create web, email, event, and thought-leadership content
  • Develop customer references, testimonials, and case studies
  • Act as an external thought leader through speaking engagements and written works
  • Partner with enablement teams to equip sales with pitch decks, battle cards, product collateral, talk tracks, playbooks, and training materials
  • Define and measure success metrics, optimize initiatives using performance data, and report required changes to the business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in SaaS, GovTech, or regulated industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
  • Strong leadership skills to lead and interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • Proven track record of launching products and driving adoption
  • Strong storytelling and professional, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to simplify complex topics
  • Metrics-oriented: able to set goals, manage projects and project teams, and analyze results
  • Ability to translate technical information into written customer-facing content and messaging
  • Analytical mindset with comfort using data to inform decisions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and business intelligence tools
  • Familiarity with B2G or B2B SaaS environments preferred
  • Limited travel required: 30%, subject to change
  • Ability to work in an in-office and remote position
  • Frequently required to sit, talk, or hear
  • Visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard and mouse
