About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Improve receptive and expressive language, articulation, fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Utilize play-based and culturally responsive interventions with children
- Foster children’s communication skills
- Collaborate with families and caregivers
- Equip families and caregivers with home-based techniques for continued progress
- Work with ABA, OT, PT, feeding, speech, and mental health specialists
- Maintain detailed clinical records and required documentation
- Participate in clinical meetings
- Participate in professional development and research opportunities
- Provide clinic-based services without travel to clients’ homes
- Work a flexible schedule between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification or Clinical Fellow eligibility
- State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan
- Ability to conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Ability to address receptive/expressive language, articulation, fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Ability to use play-based and culturally responsive interventions
- Ability to collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to maintain detailed clinical records and documentation
- Ability to kneel, bend, and play at ground level
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs when required
- Ability to respond to elopement or aggressive behaviors
- Ability to work in loud or noisy environments
- Potential exposure to bodily fluids
- Punctual attendance and ability to work assigned shifts
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Eligibility to work in the United States
