About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work as a database administrator in an agile scrum environment supporting federal government web applications
Complete database-related user stories during two-week development sprints
Update data supporting public and internal agency web applications
Collaborate with software developers, testers, business analysts, and UX design specialists
Participate in all agile ceremonies
Respond to and process quick-turn database updates requested by government stakeholders, Product Owners, and Project Managers

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years total work experience in database development
Strong knowledge of RDBMS systems
Proficiency in writing, tuning and troubleshooting SQL queries
Knowledge of SQL development tools such as SQL Developer and TOAD
Statistical, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills
Ability to quickly transition and reassess priorities to meet aggressive deadlines
Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
Strong understanding of XML and JSON structures
Ability to successfully obtain DHS Public Trust
Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States upon hire
