About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead civil litigation strategy and decision-making, using data and legal analytics (jurimetrics) to identify trends, deviations, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio
- Lead continuous improvement, automation, and new technology adoption initiatives within the Legal Department
- Structure and analyze operational and legal process data, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities to make workflows more efficient
- Conduct root-cause analyses of case inflows, losses, and key litigation drivers, developing action plans in partnership with other departments
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Product, Technology, Fraud Prevention, and Customer Support to improve workflows and the collection and development of evidence
- Translate litigation insights into preventive actions and legal and regulatory risk mitigation, contributing to improvements in products, contracts, and customer journeys
- Report portfolio metrics, risk exposure, trends, and strategic diagnostics to the executive leadership team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- In-house experience and previous experience leading or coordinating teams or high-volume civil litigation operations
- Analytical mindset, with a focus on data-driven decision-making, metrics, and risk mitigation
- Ability to work cross-functionally, optimizing operational workflows and evidence production
- Ability to turn data, performance indicators, and changes in case law into practical and effective defense strategies
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including filters, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and analytical formulas
- Comfortable working with data tools and dashboards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive alignment, reporting, and developing legal arguments
- Organization, leadership, autonomy, and discipline to manage challenging schedules, priorities, and targets
- Alignment with a collaborative environment based on partnership, genuine knowledge-sharing, and a positive atmosphere
- Experience with legal analytics, jurimetrics, or strategic litigation management projects (preferred)
- Experience with high-volume litigation involving financial institutions, fintechs, payment companies, or companies operating in Consumer Law (preferred)
- Familiarity with Claude, Excel, Databricks, Superset, Power BI, or similar tools (preferred)
