About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide pediatric speech-language therapy to children from birth through age 21
- Treat children with genetic, neurological, developmental, cognitive, and orthopedic conditions
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
- Address speech, language, feeding, swallowing, and communication needs
- Educate and empower families to participate in therapy and carry over skills
- Collaborate with occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, and care coordination teams
- Maintain timely and accurate electronic documentation
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
- Set schedule, caseload, and service areas for home and community-based care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Speech Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state Speech Therapy license
- CPR/BLS Certification (skills tested in person)
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Pediatric experience preferred, but not required
