About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop technology enabling customer experiences
  • Develop production-grade code through vision, definition, planning, execution, deployment, and sustainment
  • Partner with Product Management to build customer experiences
  • Identify new technologies and techniques to improve platform performance and customer experience
  • Ensure consistency, reliability, supportability, and observability across services
  • Communicate effectively to bring people together and enable solutions to challenges
  • Analyze product tradeoffs and deliver simple, intuitive products
  • Develop relationships with diverse teams across all organizational levels
  • Act in accordance with MGM Resorts International's mission and values
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1 year of prior relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong understanding of software layers including UI, service, data store, and communication layers
  • Previous experience delivering commercial cloud and backend software products and services at enterprise to internet scale or experience in a related area
  • Previous experience with software development in a production environment, including Java, C++, or other languages
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
  • Previous experience with distributed computing, enterprise-wide systems, agile-based development, Scrum, Kanban, or another agile methodology
  • Experience working in a DevOps culture and with distributed teams
