Key responsibilities & impact

Lead multiple engineering teams and drive adoption of AI-augmented software delivery at scale
Shape engineering strategy, optimize organizational structure, and guide technology investments and capability development
Improve delivery effectiveness, quality, and innovation
Align product, design, and engineering with consistent AI-enabled engineering practices
Oversee 2–5 engineering teams through Engineering Managers
Maintain organizational responsibility for approximately 15–50+ engineers
Own technical delivery, operational excellence, and engineering quality across a major product domain or platform area
Define and drive technical strategy aligned with product roadmaps, business objectives, and AI transformation goals
Lead organizational and workforce planning, including team structure, staffing, role composition, hiring priorities, and FTE, contingent worker, and AI-enabled capacity balance
Establish and scale engineering practices and standards, including machine-readable “standards as code” frameworks
Partner with Product, Design, and Quality Engineering leadership on cross-functional strategy and execution alignment
Advance AI-augmented engineering maturity by reassessing technical feasibility, optimizing cost and sourcing models, and identifying AI-driven delivery and organizational opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience managing multiple engineering teams through Engineering Managers
10+ years of professional engineering experience
Leadership experience across complex technical systems and large-scale software delivery organizations
Ability to lead multi-team engineering organizations and drive alignment, execution, and operational excellence
Experience in AI-era workforce planning and organizational design
Capability in defining technology strategy and making investment decisions aligned with product roadmaps and business priorities
Fundamental understanding of “standards as code,” including ADRs, linting policies, and machine-readable rules
Ability to encode engineering standards into AI-consumable and enforceable formats
