About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the front-end experience for critical guest-facing features on MGM websites and mobile applications
Develop and execute production-grade code through vision, definition, planning, execution, deployment, and sustainment
Create new customer experiences and identify architectural gaps and potential solutions
Deliver work according to technical standards and non-functional requirements
Collaborate with designers and product managers to ensure UI/UX technical feasibility
Partner with product teams to understand product vision and influence product strategy
Participate in architecture, performance, metrics, design, prototyping, and release of high-quality products
Contribute to key product initiatives spanning multiple teams
Partner with Product Management to build customer experiences and lead an engineering team toward product goals
Identify and implement technologies and techniques to improve platform performance and customer experience
Influence quality standards for technical design, development, deployment, and maintenance
Build relationships across MGM teams and provide communication and leadership for cross-organizational solutions
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and direction to front-end engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree Required
8+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience delivering web and front-end software products and services at enterprise to internet scale in a production environment, or related experience Required
5+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as a frontend engineer with experience increasing velocity and capacity in a team Required
5+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience with web development technologies (React, Typescript, NextJS or other SPA framework) and experience with performance and CDN Caching
Familiarity with node.js and graphql APIs
Previous experience with distributed computing, enterprise-wide systems, agile-based development, Scrum, Kanban or other agile methodology, and DevOps
At least 2 years of experience with Typescript
Familiarity or experience with Netlify, CircleCI, Cypress, Webpack, Storybook, and Next.js
Experience with Cypress or a similar testing framework
Experience with Backbone.js, Angular.js, React, or Ember.js
Experience working with React.js in the last 3–5 years
Previous experience with NextJS, Gatsby.js, Vue.js, or Sanity.io is a plus
