About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage end-to-end Record-to-Report activities, including General Ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Ensure General Ledger transactions comply with Group policies, local statutory requirements, accounting standards, and standard operating procedures
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting adjustments
  • Maintain the integrity of financial records and supporting documentation
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
  • Review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting through consolidation and reporting tools
  • Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances and unusual transactions
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and account substantiation
  • Resolve reconciling items and aging balances and strengthen the control environment
  • Oversee fixed asset, intercompany, inventory, and Cost of Goods Sold accounting
  • Support revenue recognition activities in compliance with IFRS/GAAP
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits
  • Monitor audit observations and drive corrective-action closure
  • Identify and lead process standardization, simplification, automation, ERP enhancement, and transformation initiatives
  • Partner with Business Finance, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Supply Chain, Shared Services, and external stakeholders
  • Act as a key escalation contact for financial reporting and accounting matters
  • Support, coach, and mentor team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • CA / CMA preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration
  • Professional accounting qualification will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in General Ledger, Record-to-Report, or Financial Accounting functions
  • Experience in Shared Services, Global Business Services (GBS), or Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environments is preferred
  • Experience managing month-end close, financial reporting, audits, and stakeholder interactions
  • Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting and Record-to-Report processes
  • Sound understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and financial reporting requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial review skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Leadership and team development capabilities
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on controls and operational excellence
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, or similar platforms
  • Experience with financial reporting and consolidation tools such as HFM, Hyperion, OneStream, or BlackLine
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Exposure to process automation, RPA, Power BI, and digital transformation
