About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee all accounting activities for Turkey operations within the Bucharest Shared Service Center
- Review the monthly closure process according to Group standards and statutory requirements
- Ensure quality of accounting data used for preparing tax returns
- Prepare and submit statutory reporting under Turkish accounting standards and regulations for validation
- Oversee Group and Statutory audits
- Prepare or contribute to business forecasts
- Present and explain relevant accounting data during regulatory or fiscal controls
- Provide financial guidance to departments and assist in decision-making
- Stay updated on accounting standards and industry best practices
- Recommend process improvements and efficiencies
- Contribute to financial accounting matters and ad-hoc financial projects
- Support the Territory/Country Corporate Finance Leader in validating financial statements and reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant senior accounting role, preferably within a Shared Service Center or a multinational company
- Proficiency in English and Turkey language; Romanian language would be a plus
- Strong understanding of Turkey local accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- To have or be studying for an ACCA/CIMA qualification would be a plus
- Knowledge of IFRS regulations would be a plus
- Knowledge and experience with direct taxes (corporate income tax) would be considered a plus
