About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide definitions of the external geometry of the tire, including the contact area between the tire and the curing mold
- Integrate tire performance constraints and industrial constraints, including mold manufacturing and usage
- Create and update CAD models and nomenclature for tire external geometry, including tread and/or marking, meeting tire specifications, norms, and regulations
- Incorporate mold manufacturing and utilization, cost, and standardization constraints into CAD models
- Update existing CAD models using simple updates and/or existing master models
- Create models for simple and complex geometries with or without master models
- Estimate performance for the design team using CAD performance simulation models
- Build parametric CAD models and associated documentation for dimension series or performance-area representation
- Improve methods and tools to enhance quality or efficiency
- Conduct training sessions on processes, tools, and methods
Requirements
What you’ll need- 0–5 years of experience in CAD design, mechanical design, automotive, tire, or related engineering domains
- Hands-on experience with CATIA V5/V6
