About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Apply engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills to design and support complex underground infrastructure projects
- Prepare calculations and supporting engineering analyses
- Develop plans in AutoCAD
- Help solve design and field challenges for projects crossing beneath rivers, highways, and other sensitive or technically complex areas
- Provide engineering design and construction support
- Collaborate across the Michels Family of Companies to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions
- Accommodate occasional travel for meetings, site visits, and short-term construction assignments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or related engineering field from an ABET accredited program
- 3+ years of experience with trenchless design (HDD, microtunneling, Direct Pipe, or conventional auger boring)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or willingness to attain PE licensure
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with AutoCAD desired
- Solid understanding of civil design and drawings
- Strong ability for critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to accommodate occasional travel for meetings, site visits, and short-term construction assignments
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
