About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies for key categories including avionics, composites, and machined parts
- Identify, select, onboard, and manage relationships with strategic suppliers
- Lead complex contract negotiations, including Master Agreements and Statements of Work
- Drive cost reduction and value optimization initiatives
- Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure regulatory compliance with ITAR and AS9100
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Legal, Finance, and Program Management
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular business reviews
- Support new product development and launch readiness
- Uphold confidentiality, ethics, and compliance with laws and regulations
- Foster continuous improvement and lean transformation in procurement processes
- Share best practices and support strategic sourcing team development
Requirements
What you’ll need- 20+ years’ experience in global strategic sourcing, preferably in Aerospace & Defense
- Proven expertise in supplier selection, risk management, contract negotiation, and financial analysis
- Strong relationship management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Demonstrated success in driving change and building stakeholder credibility
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office (Excel), and MS Projects
- Microsoft Dynamix is an asset
- Professional certifications (ISM C.P.M, CPSM®, APICS CSCP/CPIM) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Candidates must provide proof of US citizenship, Permanent US residency, or protected-individual status under 8 USC 1324b (a) (3)
