About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engineer and administer database environments supporting military healthcare applications
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot database issues, and optimize resource utilization
  • Implement and validate backup, recovery, and high-availability capabilities
  • Manage approved database changes, access controls, and data migration activities
  • Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams
  • Maintain database configuration and recovery documentation
  • Support large-scale, highly available DoD healthcare databases for the global MEDEX/MEDXS mission
  • Maintain technical and OCONUS readiness as Government-designated Key Personnel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience managing large-scale, highly available DoD healthcare databases
  • Ability to support database performance, availability, data integrity, and recovery
  • Proven experience managing personnel deployments
  • Experience navigating the Synchronized Pre-deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT)
  • Experience coordinating host-nation theater clearance and DOCPER requirements across multiple OCONUS areas of responsibility
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Valid U.S. passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining on the first day of contract performance
  • Assigned DCWF role: 421, Database Administrator, Intermediate
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Cloud+ or GSEC or Sec+ or SSCP certification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience
  • Applicable DoDM 8140.03 foundational qualifications must be satisfied before independently performing duties requiring privileged access or covered cybersecurity functions
  • OCONUS readiness on the first day of performance and continuity throughout the assignment
