About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer operating systems, servers, accounts, permissions, and supporting services
- Perform approved patching, configuration changes, backups, and recovery activities
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot incidents
- Coordinate service restoration
- Support military EHR environments and deployed IT infrastructure
- Maintain administration procedures, configuration records, and operational documentation
- Manage personnel deployments and navigate SPOT
- Coordinate host-nation theater clearance and DOCPER requirements across multiple OCONUS areas of responsibility
- Operate and sustain military electronic health record and supporting IT systems for the global MEDEX/MEDXS mission
- Maintain system availability, secure configurations, and dependable support in OCONUS environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience supporting military EHR and IT systems in an OCONUS environment
- CompTIA Security+ CE
- Relevant operating system certification appropriate to the supported environment; MCSA and Red Hat are cited as examples
- Proven experience managing personnel deployments
- Experience navigating the Synchronized Pre-deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT)
- Experience coordinating host-nation theater clearance and DOCPER requirements across multiple OCONUS areas of responsibility
- Active Secret clearance
- Valid U.S. passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining on the first day of contract performance
- Assigned DCWF role: 451, System Administrator, Intermediate
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent
- Microsoft System Administrator certification
- Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or Security+ or SSCP or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Applicable DoDM 8140.03 foundational qualifications must be satisfied before independently performing duties requiring privileged access or covered cybersecurity functions
- Technical and OCONUS readiness on the first day of performance and continuity throughout the assignment
