About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build high performance, low latency, scalable web applications for real-time trading and financial data
Investigate and solve complex engineering problems across the frontend, APIs, and real-time data flows
Contribute to technical decisions and continuously improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of the platform
Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and other engineering teams to build and evolve Atlas
Own products end-to-end, from idea to production monitoring
Manage live incidents, write post-mortems, and implement long-term fixes
Deliver exceptional product experiences and maximize user impact

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong fundamentals and a solid understanding of the challenges involved in building reliable, performant web applications
Good problem solving and debugging skills, with a willingness to dig into unfamiliar or complex problems
A willingness to take ownership, learn quickly, and grow with the product and the team
An interest in how engineering decisions affect performance, reliability, and user experience
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience building applications with React, Next.js, Redux, REST or GraphQL (nice to have)
Experience with real-time systems and high frequency data updates using technologies such as WebSockets or SSE (nice to have)
Familiarity with financial systems, trading platforms, or market data (nice to have)
Experience with browser performance profiling and optimization (nice to have)
Up to 5 years of professional software engineering experience (nice to have)
