About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop editorial strategies
Manage the content publishing calendar and maintain a consistent presence across digital platforms
Ensure relevant interactions and drive community engagement growth
Manage content update requests
Review and/or write copy
Integrate and publish content on a daily basis
Develop and execute engaging video concepts for social media
Coordinate the logistics, project management, and end-to-end execution of video shoots
Handle filming, production, and post-production, including editing, sound, and visual effects
Support the launch, production, and growth of a dedicated podcast
Promote the Mila Ventures platform and raise awareness of its emerging companies, founders, researchers, and Venture Scientists
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications leadership team, Mila Ventures, as well as partners, investors, and key ecosystem stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in a fast-growing startup
Strong execution-oriented mindset
University degree in communications, digital media, or a related field, or equivalent experience
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
Demonstrated experience managing video and social media projects, supported by a portfolio
Experience reviewing and writing content
Understanding of current AI issues and developments (an asset)
Curiosity and enthusiasm for ventures, startups, venture capital, and AI (an asset)
Versatility and a strong problem-solving mindset
Creativity and initiative
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to work independently
Comfortable working as part of a team
Bilingual in French and English
Demonstrated ability to adapt to rapid change
