About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor the receipt of files submitted by broker partners
  • Check that the data received is complete and complies with the expected formats
  • Check the consistency of certain information and calculations, particularly premiums and commissions
  • Identify missing data, duplicates, and any potential anomalies
  • Make simple corrections where possible
  • Contact brokers to report anomalies and obtain the necessary information or corrections
  • Import validated data into Mila’s back-office system
  • Keep records up to date for files received, checked, and imported
  • Contribute to improving the files, controls, and working methods used by the team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bac +2 or Bac +3 qualification, or equivalent two- or three-year post-secondary education
  • Initial professional experience involving regular data handling in Excel, potentially gained through a work-study program
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to sort, filter, and search data
  • Ability to use calculation and lookup formulas
  • Ability to identify duplicates and missing values
  • Ability to use PivotTables
  • Ability to standardize different date, number, and text formats
  • Ability to verify the consistency of results
  • Ability to understand instructions, rephrase them, and ask questions when information is missing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain an issue clearly, logically, and professionally
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is not required upon joining
  • Experience in insurance, brokerage, administrative management, accounting, back-office operations, or data control would be a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL or a Business Intelligence tool is a plus but not essential
