About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the strategic development of clients’ IT landscapes
- Serve as a point of contact for IT strategy, cloud, and architecture topics in strategic and enterprise-wide projects
- Strengthen expertise in IT strategy, cloud, and application architecture, and further develop consulting approaches and offerings
- Expand existing client relationships and collaborate with Sales on client acquisition
- Contribute content to project proposals and presentations
- Further develop the company’s own IT landscape and architecture, and future-proof internal systems, applications, and cloud services
- Develop strategies and solutions with the project team to optimize clients’ IT management
- Design cloud strategies, application landscapes, target architectures, IT strategies, and modern IT organizations
- Analyze existing IT and application landscapes and develop target visions, roadmaps, and recommendations for action
- Advise clients on the strategic design and further development of their cloud and application landscapes
- Assess technology options and their impact on organizations, processes, costs, and governance
- Translate technical matters into strategic decision-making support and present project results to CIOs, IT leaders, and executive boards
- Apply IT management and architecture methods and frameworks effectively in consulting engagements
- Assume project responsibility depending on qualifications and experience
- Monitor IT trends and contribute insights to the further development of consulting offerings
- Identify clients’ consulting needs and facilitate appropriate support
- Travel to meet clients for relationship building, key milestones, interviews, and workshops
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed degree in business informatics, business administration, or a comparable field
- 5+ years of professional experience in strategic or operational IT consulting, or in a comparable line-management role within an IT department
- Relevant experience leading and delivering IT strategy and transformation projects, particularly involving cloud, application, or enterprise architectures
- Ideally, experience with architecture and project management methodologies such as IPMA, TOGAF, or PRINCE2
- Strong technical understanding of modern IT landscapes
- Confidence in assessing technology-related issues involving cloud, applications, interfaces, and IT architectures, and translating them into strategic recommendations for action
- Ideally, experience designing and further developing cloud and application architectures
- Knowledge of managing an internal corporate IT function—for example, cloud services, IT security, license management, or collaboration with external IT service providers—is an advantage
- Interest in cross-selling and upselling
- Ability to manage Change Requests reliably and successfully throughout the process
- Entrepreneurial, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
- Pragmatic and proactive working style
- Native-level German language skills, both written and spoken, are required
- Good English skills are an advantage
