Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with customers and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into actionable development tasks and deliver software solutions.
Design and develop secure, maintainable Java solutions aligned with service architecture.
Define testing scope and approach, validate functionality, and participate in pull requests to improve code quality.
Diagnose and resolve application issues using systematic debugging across multiple services.
Build application and domain expertise to guide technical decisions and support delivery.
Identify and address security vulnerabilities in code and peer reviews.
Coordinate dependencies and roadblocks with other teams and maintain documentation for upgrades and maintenance.
Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.
Leverage AI-assisted tools and technologies to improve productivity, problem-solving, quality, automation, and innovation.
Work closely with customers and cross-functional team members to understand business needs and deliver reliable enterprise applications.

Requirements

What you’ll need

AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of software development experience in Java, Spring Framework, React, Python, MongoDB and Kafka.
Experience with enterprise development in an Agile environment.
Experience with an RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server.
Experience with SOAP and/or REST web services.
Experience with defect tracking software.
Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience mentoring other coworkers.
Strong analysis, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized and accurate, with strong initiative and follow-through.
Aptitude and desire to work in a highly collaborative, self-organizing team environment.
Willingness and ability to give and receive feedback.
Ability to work independently while asking questions when needed.
