Key responsibilities & impact

Understand customer requirements and develop tasks to accurately reflect those requirements.
Design and develop technical software solutions.
Write and perform testing and assist in determining testing scope.
Provide ongoing support and enhancements for new and existing systems and platforms.
Systematically debug issues within a single application.
Gain sufficient context in portions of the team's applications to work productively.
Design functions aligned with the overall service architecture.
Apply security knowledge and consult senior engineers on security implications.
Document each aspect of systems applications.
Collaborate cross-functionally with team members and customers to implement solutions effectively and efficiently.
Leverage AI-assisted tools and technologies to enhance productivity, accelerate problem-solving, improve quality, automate routine tasks, and drive innovation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-5 years of software development experience in Java, Spring Framework, React, Python, MongoDB and Kafka.
Experience with enterprise development in an Agile environment
Experience with an RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server
Experience with SOAP and/or REST web services
Experience with defect tracking software
Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Strong analysis, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized and accurate, with strong initiative and follow-through.
Aptitude and desire to work in a highly collaborative, self-organizing team environment.
Willingness and ability to give and receive feedback.
Ability to work independently while asking questions when needed.
