About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own YARA's product development end to end, from prototype to scalable product
- Use user and customer testing and feedback to guide development
- Define product performance measurements
- Build the testing and evaluation framework
- Establish engineering practices
- Hire the founding team as the company grows
- Work with Mindsets Ventures on product strategy, fundraising, and the venture roadmap
- Recommend next steps to move the venture forward
- Identify when a larger pivot is needed based on evidence
- Lead YARA's technical vision, architecture, and product direction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience building and shipping production software as a full-stack engineer
- Comfortable owning a product end to end across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, including how data is structured, stored, and retrieved for AI applications
- Understanding of how large language models are orchestrated
- Entrepreneur, founder, or early-stage startup engineering experience is a bonus
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, early-stage, resource-constrained environments
- Able to work with minimal direction and lead the technical build end to end
- Genuine interest in solving the AI memory and context problem
- Ability to challenge assumptions continuously
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly and tailor messages to the audience
