About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform high-level case processing and data entry for probate cases using court technology systems
  • Provide professional, courteous, and respectful customer service at the front counter, by phone, during court hearings, and electronically
  • Coordinate, communicate, and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate case processing
  • Review and process filings for timeliness, statutory compliance, and proper document security
  • Support fair and timely resolution of cases and controversies and ensure equal access
  • Work individually and in teams using independent judgment and available resources in a fast-paced, high-volume electronic environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and one (1) year of relevant job experience OR equivalent amount of post-high-school education and experience totaling one year
  • Relevant experience may include customer service, administrative work, office work, or clerical work
  • Team-oriented, with a positive attitude and ability to establish and maintain respectful, effective relationships
  • Ability to provide customer service meeting or exceeding expectations while complying with court policies and procedures
  • Reliable, able to meet commitments and keep work projects on task
  • Ability to multitask, maintain accuracy, work under pressure, and work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn, apply, and explain instructions, policies, statutes, rules, procedures, and systems
  • Proficiency with electronic document applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, or Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with attorneys, court staff, judicial officers, and the general public
  • Ability to comply with data privacy laws and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to professionally exhibit cultural sensitivity, patience, and understanding
  • Preferred: knowledge and working experience with eFile and Serve (EFS) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Preferred: experience preparing, drafting, editing, and proofreading court orders, forms, correspondence, and documents for electronic submission
  • Preferred: detail-oriented and analytical
  • Preferred: strong organizational skills
  • Preferred: experience providing exceptional customer service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: experience working closely with attorneys, judicial officers, and other professional individuals
  • Satisfactory criminal background check required as a condition of employment
