About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the first point of contact for court customers statewide
- Respond to high-volume incoming telephone calls and emails regarding citations
- Schedule hearing officer appointments and provide information on case payment options
- Engage Language Line staff and supervisory staff when appropriate
- Use resource materials to deliver accurate service according to performance metrics and guidelines
- Document customer inquiries according to documentation standards
- Refer callers to court administration, accounting staff, subject matter experts, or other agencies
- Initiate cases in the MNCIS court case information system from law-enforcement citations
- Process quality-assurance reports
- Work under the direction of the MN Court Payment Center manager or lead worker
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least six months of professional office experience in a high-volume call center using automated call-distribution (ACD) software
- Reliable, high-speed internet capable of successful remote access to the Judicial Branch network
- Ability to attend in person new employee orientation and training sessions
- Ability to attend in-person training at the MN Judicial Center in St. Paul, MN
- Ability to sit and wear a headset for the majority of the day
- Ability to occasionally move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to perform significant data entry based on daily work assignment
- Ability to use multiple computer applications concurrently
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters in compliance with court rules, policies, and statutes
- Must successfully pass background check processes
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
- 5+ years of related customer service experience (preferred)
- 2+ years of high-volume, high-performance call center experience (preferred)
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues independently in a remote environment (preferred)
- Experience with MNCIS (preferred)
- Fluency in a second language (preferred)
