About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process weekly payroll accurately
- Process and check new starter information
- Resolve payroll queries efficiently and proactively
- Maintain accurate employee and financial records to ensure compliance
- Process timesheets in line with company procedures
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders
- Support the Finance Team with additional projects and ad-hoc duties as required
- Report directly to the Payroll & Purchase Ledger Manager
- Work alongside the existing payroll team and wider Finance Team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and other computer systems
- Experienced in a payroll role (minimum 1-2 years’ experience preferred)
- Able to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
- Strong communicator with a professional and friendly approach
- Team player who enjoys supporting others
- Proactive, reliable and solutions-focused
- Positive, enthusiastic and eager to learn
