Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain versioned REST and gRPC APIs for bare-metal server lifecycle, MachineType definitions, and cluster CRUD operations
Develop asynchronous workflows for server enrollment, inspection, OS provisioning, and cluster bring-up
Expose durable status to callers for long-running provisioning operations
Implement and maintain consoles and interfaces for visualizing hardware inventory, provisioning progress, and cluster health
Design error-handling models, idempotency guarantees, and reconciliation loops for reliable infrastructure provisioning
Own the lifecycle of infrastructure-level services from Server and MachineType APIs through provisioning workflows and reconciliation loops
Build the control plane that converts high-level API calls into infrastructure actions for GPU-as-a-Service

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience designing RESTful APIs or gRPC services
Understanding of API versioning and gateway patterns
Proficiency in Go (preferred for backend/Kubernetes ecosystem)
Deep understanding of Kubernetes primitives and controller/reconciler patterns
Experience with k0rdent, Metal3, and Cluster API
Hands-on experience with bare-metal provisioning flows, including BMC/Redfish, PXE/iPXE, image management, and hardware inspection
Experience building workflow-driven or event-driven systems, such as Temporal
Experience building informers or reconciliation bridges that synchronize external datastores with Kubernetes resource state
Experience building multi-tenant platforms with strict data and network isolation
Familiarity with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps-driven configuration using ArgoCD or Flux
Familiarity with GPU server hardware, DPUs/NICs, and high-performance datacenter fabrics
