About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain customized software solutions for a large European public-sector technology service provider
Implement software components according to design specifications
Perform system integration and testing, troubleshoot problems, and resolve issues
Perform unit testing of software components
Participate in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines
Collaborate proactively with teammates and communicate with project stakeholders
Provide technical input into product roadmaps
Participate in incident analysis and prioritization activities
Support and optimize CI/CD processes
Contribute to a complex tax administration system covering tax declaration processing, tax calculations, assessments, and integrations with multiple external systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience in Java development
Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus
Understanding of microservices architecture and containers, including Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL or other RDBMS
Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging, including Kafka and ActiveMQ
Good understanding of testing principles
Ability to communicate confidently in English
Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams
Experience in Angular front-end development is nice to have
German or Swiss German language skills are nice to have
