About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement software components according to design specifications
Perform system integration and testing, troubleshoot and resolve problems
Perform unit testing of software components
Participate in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines
Collaborate with teammates and communicate with project stakeholders to ensure efficient and predictable project delivery
Provide technical input into product roadmaps
Participate in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization
Support and optimize CI/CD processes
Develop and maintain customized software solutions for a large European public-sector software provider
Contribute to a tax administration system covering tax declaration processing, tax calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience in Java development
Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus
Understanding of microservices architecture and containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or other RDBMS)
Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging (Kafka, ActiveMQ)
Good understanding of testing principles
Ability to communicate confidently in English
Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams
Experience in Angular front-end development (nice to have)
German or Swiss German language skills (nice to have)
