About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Mission Produce’s global networks and server infrastructure for cloud environments, ERP systems, offices, data centers, and remote sites
  • Perform routine administrative tasks including patching and hardware upgrades/replacements
  • Monitor network services and respond to break/fix and support requests submitted through the ticketing system
  • Collaborate with the IT Network Engineering Manager and global IT groups on additions, expansions, recommendations, new solutions, and improvements
  • Work with vendor support and outside contractors to resolve open tickets
  • Assemble, install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware equipment and software for networks, servers, workstations, and peripherals
  • Manage and maintain access-layer network devices across Mission’s global enterprise
  • Plan, install, configure, and maintain local area network switches and wireless networks
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, updates, and patching to address security concerns and vulnerabilities
  • Manage routers, switches, wireless LAN controllers, and wireless access points
  • Follow established standard operating procedures as part of a team
  • Read, create, and edit technical procedures and drawings
  • Assist the IT Network Engineering Manager with configuring, implementing, and maintaining network connectivity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of work experience, education, and training
  • 3–5 years of experience in network administration managing routers, switches, and wireless networks
  • Hands-on experience installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Cisco data and wireless networks
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS, including routers, switches, and wireless LAN controllers
  • Strong knowledge configuring VLANs and understanding STP and RSTP
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting L1, L2, and L3
  • Ability to configure network devices using the CLI
  • Experience with IP networking design and operations under RFC 1918, including subnetting, VLSM, and CIDR notation
  • Experience troubleshooting network issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of DNS, DHCP, LDAP, RADIUS, TACAC+, and AAA
  • Ability to travel to remote sites in different geographical locations if needed
  • On-call availability and ability to work outside normal business hours according to business needs
  • Ability to work in manufacturing, food processing, and cold storage environments
  • Ability to lift and rack IT equipment such as routers and switches in data centers and networking IDFs
  • Ability to work Eastern Time hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET
  • Required to answer work authorization/sponsorship questions for legal employment in the United States
  • Desirable certifications: CCNA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, MSCE, A+, Net+, Security+
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
