About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to the assigned division
- Work with the business across multiple services and platforms to address cybersecurity risk
- Advise leaders so they can make informed decisions with cybersecurity in mind
- Provide leadership and strategic and tactical guidance for the enterprise cybersecurity program
- Drive cybersecurity fundamentals into all aspects of the business
- Work closely with senior management, third parties, project managers, and business subject matter experts
- Translate cybersecurity issues into business-focused recommendations
- Understand technologies, their purpose, and their security and data protection requirements
- Assess threats, risk mitigations, and recommended technical controls
- Support secure growth, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 9 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; 7 years with a master’s; 4 years with a PhD or JD; or 13 years with a high school diploma or equivalent
- One or more cybersecurity certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA
- At least 3 years of experience working with business leadership and enterprise projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and promote an enterprise-wide cybersecurity culture
- High integrity, professionalism, trustworthiness, and credibility
- Strong understanding of business processes and ability to integrate cybersecurity through collaboration and influence
- Excellent project management, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of national and global cybersecurity policies, regulations, and frameworks
- Understanding of a broad range of cybersecurity solutions
- Strong ability to communicate privacy, business risk, and remediation requirements from assessments
- Demonstrated strategic and tactical thinking, decision-making skills, and business acumen
- Highly organized, efficient self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- General business administration competencies
- Preferred: PMP certification
- Preferred: At least 10 years of cybersecurity experience, including 5 years in an operational cybersecurity practitioner role
- Preferred: 14 or more years of combined cybersecurity and/or information technology experience
- Preferred: 5 or more years of related cybersecurity systems administration experience
- Preferred: 3 or more years of cybersecurity or IT project management experience
- Ability to obtain the required security clearance
