About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze PMESII factors influencing military and political strategy, military operations, and JADC2, Air Defense, and Missile Defense integration within the AOR
Integrate U-A regional strategies into operational planning and crisis action planning processes
Coordinate development of OPLANS, EXORDS, crisis action planning orders documentation, OPT membership, and CONPLAN rewrites
Provide IAMD operational planning input and research products for Joint Lessons Learned databases
Analyze IAMD and JADC2 planning processes to devise courses of action involving equipment, weapons, tactics, strategy, doctrine, organization, and training
Support JMDMP planning and operations for U-A IAMD/JADC2 missions and theater objectives
Provide operational, exercise, engagement planning, and SME support to integrate JADC2 systems and capabilities into a U.S. Component air operations center
Advise the Area Air Defense Commander and supporting components on joint and allied air, space, and missile defense; interface control; C2 datalink architectures; and JADC2 network implementation
Perform additional duties as assigned or required

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
Prior experience in operational planning concepts and employment
Prior experience in Joint Planning Process as it applies to the subject matter role
Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
Associates with a minimum of 7 years of recent specialized experience, recognized major industry certification with at least 7 years of recent specialized experience, or 11 years of recent specialized experience without a degree or certification
Background in DoD IAMD capabilities
Background in JADC2 operational capabilities
Familiarity with Tactical Datalinks and Link 16
Knowledge of information operations concepts and operational planning
Ability to work in office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environments
Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances
