About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief of Staff and senior leadership on the direction and management of the Command Operations Center
Maintain 24/7 situational awareness of command operations in the Area of Responsibility
Monitor, analyze, and report on mission activities
Provide rapid, accurate operational updates in response to leadership requests
Recommend process improvements, system enhancements, and technology upgrades
Consolidate and prepare operational briefings and briefing books for the Commander and senior staff
Manage METL, DRRS, Automated Message Handling System, and TMT
Oversee the knowledge environment, including SharePoint, file management, and collaborative tools
Support the Crisis Action Team and assist the RFI Manager with high-priority requests
Track and manage RFIs and short-notice taskers for the Chief of Staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a related field and 0 years of experience, or High School Diploma/equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience
At least 3 years working in a NAF, component command staff, or equivalent service-level environment
At least 1 year using Microsoft Office applications and email systems (or equivalent)
Ability to work shift schedules supporting 24/7 operations
Current active Secret clearance
Current/active US Passport with at least 2 years remaining
Ability to deploy (TDY) in support of forward AFCENT operations
Willingness to work a 12-hour shift on a Panama-type schedule
Ability to work primarily in an office environment (SCIF)
