About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze large, complex datasets from multiple legacy and modernized systems
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization
- Collaborate with software engineers, system architects, and cybersecurity teams
- Ensure data integrity and accessibility across modernization efforts
- Translate technical data findings into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support data integration activities
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with Department of War data governance standards
- Contribute to data quality metrics and automated validation processes
- Support the Department of War Chief Information Officer and a large-scale IT modernization initiative
Requirements
What you’ll need- LEVEL 2: 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field
- LEVEL 3: 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field
- LEVEL 4: 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience
- Strong understanding of relational databases, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with DoW compliance frameworks, including FISMA and NIST
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment
- Collaborative team mindset
- A SECRET level security clearance is required
- TS/SCI is preferred
- May require working in office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environments
- Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances
