About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, document, and maintain architecture roadmaps, models, and representations aligned with organizational goals and strategies
  • Catalog and document architecture initiatives, capabilities, workflows, and standard components
  • Coordinate and enforce adherence to architectural standards, policies, and guidelines
  • Work with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and develop architectural solutions
  • Communicate architectural strategies, initiatives, and frameworks to stakeholders
  • Provide training or guidance as necessary
  • Maintain and refine architecture models, frameworks, and representations as business and technology landscapes evolve
  • Support the AFRL/IZX division's ongoing mission
  • Report to the IZX Division Chief and Deputy Director
  • Maintain an on-site presence at WPAFB

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Broad, enterprise-wide view of business, strategy, processes, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
  • Ability to recognize structural issues, functional interdependencies, and cross-silo redundancies
  • Ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings
  • Experience using model-based representations to collect, aggregate, or disaggregate complex and conflicting business information
  • Ability to visualize and create high-level models for business architecture analysis
  • Extensive experience planning and deploying business and IT initiatives
  • Experience modeling business processes using various tools and techniques
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visualization communication skills
  • Level 3: 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 3 years with Master's degree; 0 years with PhD or Juris Doctorate; or high school diploma/equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
  • Level 4: 9 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 7 years with Master's degree; 4 years with PhD or Juris Doctorate; or high school diploma/equivalent and 13 years relevant experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one
  • CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certifications desirable
  • Experience with DoDAF and TOGAF highly desirable
  • Required travel of 0–10%
