About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Navy LVC training across designated Areas of Responsibility
- Assist with planning, development, and execution of Fleet Training events for Fleet and Strike Group staffs, including reserve personnel
- Collaborate frequently with Military, Government, and Contractor leadership
- Install, configure, and patch C-FAST/IW tool suite baseline software releases, upgrades, and system updates
- Monitor servers and applications using systems management software
- Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with external teams, and develop resource allocation policies and standards
- Collaborate with C-FAST/IW toolset engineers on event planning and federation architecture development before O&M turnover
- Lead C-FAST/IW-specific planning and technical design of federation architectures after O&M turnover
- Configure tools to integrate into Navy Training Baseline federations
- Direct real-time system and federation management during LVC events
- Conduct in-stride troubleshooting and rapid correction of system problems
- Coordinate across the LVC operations team to align technical execution and training objectives
- Manage local simulation artifacts, including parametric databases and enumeration tables
- Provide technical assistance and system familiarization to EXCON users
- Analyze system performance during events and provide technical feedback to software engineers
- Maintain awareness of emerging C-FAST/IW capabilities, development roadmaps, and NTB federation integration
Requirements
What you’ll need- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelor’s in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Master’s in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience
- Linux and/or Microsoft professional certification
- Security+ certification
- U.S. Citizenship
- Currently hold and be able to maintain a US Top Secret clearance
- Experience with networking concepts, architectures, and protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP
- Experience with current Intelligence systems and National reporting procedures
- Experience with modeling and simulation tools
- Willingness to travel routinely to remote site facilities
- Willingness to work non-standard hours approximately 6 times per year for 2–3 weeks at a time
- National and Theater-level intelligence experience is a bonus
- Proficiency with GALE, GCCS, IBS, DCGS, and Link 16 is a bonus
- Experience with operational level JLVC-supported FST events is a bonus
- Experience in Navy Fleet Synthetic Training programs, experimentation, and war-game operation and management is a bonus
- Experience with the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) process, timeline, and products is a bonus
- Understanding of C4I systems and operations is a bonus
- Knowledge of HLA and DIS distributed simulation protocols is a bonus
- Experience with JSAF and other HLA/DIS modeling tools is a bonus
- Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances
- Lifting and moving materials may be required
