About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Ground Vehicle Systems Center's Acquisition Management Office
  • Provide hands-on support to government program managers and technical leads
  • Draft procurement packages, market research reports, Acquisition Plans, Statements of Objectives, and Performance Work Statements
  • Perform market research and price/cost analysis
  • Meet with engineers and technical leads to gather requirements, schedules, and deliverable lists
  • Build milestone schedules based on technical team input
  • Track vendor deliverable submissions and route them to technical evaluators
  • Assist with administration of FAR-based contracts and Other Transaction Authority agreements
  • Maintain organized contract and agreement files in internal shared drives
  • Operate effectively in ambiguous and highly technical environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 1 year relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience
  • 3 to 6 years of direct experience preparing and administering Federal/DoD contracts and agreements
  • Practical experience with both FAR contracts and OT agreements
  • Prior direct Federal / DoD government contracting or agreement specialist experience (civilian, military, or contractor support) preferred
  • Relevant coursework in FAR fundamentals and DoD Other Transactions
  • Hands-on experience with SAM.gov, PIEE, WAWF, EDA, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • Must be a US Citizen to qualify for the required Secret Clearance with the US DOW
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects
  • Federal acquisition knowledge, market research, price/cost analysis, negotiation, vendor engagement, technical understanding, acquisition planning, and documentation skills
  • Minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment may be required
