About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the team conducting maintenance on Combat Systems equipment onboard USN ships located in the Pacific Fleet
- Oversee and manage operational aspects of ongoing projects
- Serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams, USN shipboard leadership, Combat Systems Port Engineers, and line management
- Review project status and budgets
- Manage schedules
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly status reports
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress
- Intervene and solve problems with project managers, line managers, and clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience
- At least 8 years of direct experience working on Combat Systems equipment onboard USN ships
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing single and multi-mode connectors and cables
- Experience coordinating maintenance onboard USN ships with waterfront maintenance teams
- Troubleshooting experience with USN shipboard antennas, interior and exterior communications, audio and visual equipment, cable installation and MCT/cableway maintenance
- Ability to obtain and maintain base and ship access
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Ability to visit a job site in an industrial or shipboard environment
- Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level
