About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, analyze, test, integrate, deploy, and maintain radar software
  • Write clean, maintainable, efficient C++ and Python code
  • Develop real-time embedded software for radar applications
  • Implement and optimize radar algorithms and signal-processing techniques developed in MATLAB and/or Python
  • Integrate software with target hardware
  • Support system-level testing and verification
  • Debug and troubleshoot software and system issues
  • Create and maintain software documentation
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, test engineers, internal team members, and external partner vendors
  • Evaluate external vendor software and contribute to requirements analysis and architectural design
  • Implement and report on software development activities
  • Junior engineers work under senior mentorship while contributing throughout the software development lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Junior: 2 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field; 0 years relevant experience with Master's degree in related field; or high school diploma/equivalent and 6 years relevant experience
  • Mid-level: 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field; 3 years with Master's degree; or high school diploma/equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
  • Senior: 9 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 7 years with Master's degree; 4 years with PhD or Juris Doctorate; or high school diploma/equivalent and 13 years relevant experience
  • C++ and Python software development experience
  • Object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
  • Knowledge of radar systems or digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Linux or Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) development
  • Software configuration management and version control tools in a CI/CD pipeline, such as GitLab
  • Unit testing framework development and maintenance
  • Software/hardware integration, testing, and debugging
  • Secret security clearance to start
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with enhanced security checks
  • Junior: understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, timing constraints, linear algebra, and basic physics
  • Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for Software Engineer family requirements
