About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance AI-powered applications and enterprise solutions
- Develop solutions using large language models, generative AI, machine learning, and modern AI technologies
- Identify customer use cases and translate mission and business requirements into effective AI solutions
- Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications, systems, data sources, and workflows
- Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation solutions using enterprise data and knowledge sources
- Develop prompts, system instructions, and context-management strategies
- Develop, consume, and manage APIs and services connecting AI models, applications, databases, and enterprise systems
- Implement data ingestion, transformation, indexing, search, retrieval, and processing capabilities
- Provision, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure supporting AI workloads
- Implement identity, authentication, authorization, role-based access controls, and security mechanisms
- Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel to identify vulnerabilities and implement security controls
- Support Responsible AI practices and safeguards for sensitive information
- Evaluate AI models, platforms, frameworks, tools, and architectures based on technical, mission, security, performance, and cost requirements
- Evaluate AI-generated results and improve solution performance and effectiveness
- Monitor application and model performance, availability, reliability, usage, resources, and operating costs
- Optimize models, APIs, token utilization, compute resources, storage, and cloud services
- Troubleshoot application, model, integration, infrastructure, data, and performance issues
- Participate in source control, code review, testing, configuration management, CI/CD, and DevSecOps processes
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Support proofs of concept and prototypes and transition successful solutions into production
- Remain current on AI technologies, LLMs, cloud services, cybersecurity risks, Responsible AI, and industry developments
- Communicate complex AI and technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance for the duration of employment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) clearance if required by the customer or assigned duties
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in computer design, software development, computer networks, or directly related technical work
- Relevant experience with AI/ML technologies, cloud platforms, software development, data technologies, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and enterprise AI applications may be applicable
- Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the job
