About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
  • Produce engineering documentation, reports, and drawings, including flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
  • Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas and preliminary analyses of data
  • Make quantitative judgments concerning technical data
  • Use personal computer applications to perform analyses and develop documentation and reports
  • Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
  • Provide direction and guidance to lower-level non-exempt employees and serve as lead worker on assigned tasks
  • Coordinate with shipyards, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and subcontractors on systems installation, overhaul, and upgrade work packages
  • Support configuration management activities documenting the current status of ships, systems, and equipment
  • Support naval combat systems installation, overhaul, upgrade, and integration in accordance with the applicable Statement of Work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Eight (8) years of increasing systems integration management responsibility, including at least five (5) years of specific naval combat systems installation, overhaul, and upgrade or integration experience
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or business-related field
  • Advanced knowledge in specialized engineering functions, with a wide and comprehensive acquaintance with both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including extended stays in support of overseas customer engagements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain base access and CAC card
  • Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience is highly desirable
  • Experience supporting multi-site or complex naval programs, including shipbuilding/overhaul environments
  • Experience with legacy combat systems such as the MK 92 Fire Control System
  • Experience supporting international customer engagements involving foreign government information and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling requirements
  • A current or active DoD security clearance is preferred
