About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Configure and maintain networked computer systems, including hardware, system software, and applications
  • Ensure data is stored securely and backed up regularly
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues
  • Replace and upgrade defective or outdated components
  • Monitor system performance for smooth and secure operation
  • Research and recommend approaches to improve networked computer systems
  • Provide technical support when requested
  • Document processes employees must follow to work successfully within the computing system
  • Prepare reports and presentations, briefings, and customer communications regarding system status and updates
  • Support the mission in Keyport, Washington
  • Travel occasionally as needed and complete additional training as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 8 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field, or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience for System Administrator 4
  • 15+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 13+ years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field, or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience for System Administrator 5
  • TS/SCI clearance required
  • Experience working in secure environments, including SCIFs
  • Understanding of government Risk Management Framework standards
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Information Systems or Information Technology
  • Microsoft MCSE certification or similar
  • MCSE, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Server+, and/or CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent
  • Experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems
  • Familiarity with SQL and database operations
  • Skilled in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data accurately and efficiently
  • Skilled in technical analysis, design/re-design, and reporting
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving trouble calls
  • Skilled in applying policies/procedures and implementing technical requirements
  • Skilled in presenting formal training presentations and briefings
  • Ability to prioritize workloads with critical deadlines
  • Availability outside working hours to promptly resolve emergency issues
  • Patient and professional demeanor with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
