About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion
- Manage all aspects of manual change development and incorporation for submarine libraries
- Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs
- Interact with the NNS Planning Yard and NAVSEA for shipboard libraries
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules
- Identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
- Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas
- Serve as the primary customer interface
- Guide program reviews, shape strategy, and communicate progress across cost, schedule, and technical milestones
- Lead technical execution and profit and loss performance of key programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience
- Extensive knowledge of submarine configuration and operation
- Strong understanding of estimating all aspects of work associated with library maintenance
- Submarine qualified
- Nuclear power qualified
- Experience interacting with the NNS Planning Yard and NAVSEA for shipboard libraries
- Understanding of ISO and its relationship to process development and improvement
- Confidential Clearance
- May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipyard environment
