Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer, maintain, and provide cybersecurity defense for Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network client and server infrastructure
  • Coordinate with team members and departments to update, monitor, and maintain enterprise servers and workstations
  • Perform Microsoft Windows server administration
  • Manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
  • Create and modify DHCP reservations
  • Patch and configure systems in compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems in coordination with network administrators
  • Set up administrator and service accounts
  • Maintain system documentation
  • Tune system performance
  • Install system-wide software and allocate mass storage space
  • Interact with users and evaluate vendor products
  • Recommend hardware and software purchases
  • Coordinate installations and provide backup recovery
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for computing-resource allocation
  • Work independently and within a team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience
  • Experience with VMware
  • Familiarity with VDI technologies and protocols
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and digest technical information
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong customer focus and ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Security+ or equivalent certification
  • Must currently hold and maintain a US Secret security clearance
  • Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline
