About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and test command, control, and communications systems for ISR, EW, and launcher DoD products
  • Integrate into multidisciplinary teams to provide solutions and products to diverse customers
  • Participate in all phases of the system lifecycle, from requirements definition through design, development, integration, and test, with minimal supervision
  • Understand impacts to the whole system
  • Guide customers and engineers in formulating system, hardware, and software requirements
  • Advise on alternative approaches and conduct feasibility studies as required
  • Prepare and communicate daily status information in accordance with required development lifecycles
  • Independently derive requirements into actionable tasks
  • Follow company policies, guidelines, and engineering practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field
  • Experience in various embedded programming languages (e.g. Embedded C/C++, C/C++)
  • Experience in industry-standard systems engineering documentation methods such as user stories, SYSML, Agile and supporting tools such as Doxygen, Bamboo, JIRA
  • Knowledge in Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Use of tools such as Cameo, Doors, Rhapsody, etc.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret government security clearance
  • Currently hold a U.S. security clearance (preferred)
  • Experience in the DoD contractor space, especially maritime (preferred)
  • Experience with the C/C++/Python/Matlab programming (preferred)
  • Experience with Cameo and MBSE tools (preferred)
  • Experience in leading junior software engineers (preferred)
  • Experience with RF communication links and/or radio systems (preferred)
