About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in all phases of the system lifecycle, from requirements definition through design, development, integration, and test with minimal supervision
Understand impacts to the whole system and apply big-picture systems thinking
Guide customers and engineers in formulating system, hardware, and software requirements
Advise on alternative approaches and conduct feasibility studies as required
Prepare and communicate daily status information according to required development lifecycles
Independently derive requirements into actionable tasks
Follow company policies, guidelines, and company-wide engineering practices
Integrate into multidisciplinary teams to deliver systems solutions and products for ISR, EW, and launcher DoD products

Requirements

What you’ll need

2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field
Experience in various embedded programming languages (e.g. Embedded C/C++, C/C++)
Experience in industry-standard systems engineering documentation methods such as user stories, SYSML, Agile and supporting tools such as Doxygen, Bamboo, JIRA
Knowledge in Model Based Systems Engineering and use of tools such as Cameo, Doors, Rhapsody, etc.
Must be a U.S. citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain a secret government security clearance
Preferred: Currently hold a U.S. security clearance
Preferred: Experience in the DoD contractor space, especially maritime
Preferred: Experience with C/C++/Python/Matlab programming
Preferred: Experience with Cameo and MBSE tools
Preferred: Experience leading junior software engineers
Preferred: Experience with RF communication links and/or radio systems
