About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Navy Integration Training Environment (NITE) as a Tactical Data Link Analyst / Link Inject to Live (LITL) Coordinator
  • Communicate proactively with individual squadrons to ensure link connectivity in every flight
  • Troubleshoot link connectivity during training evolutions
  • Utilize all functionality of LMMT to meet specific training event requirements
  • Coordinate with and train designated range personnel in daily TDL/LITL equipment operation
  • Assist 2Circle personnel in operating LITL/NGTS
  • Coordinate TDL/LITL settings with all training network participants
  • Serve as primary point of contact for operational and interoperability issues
  • Coordinate with external TDL/LITL agencies, including training and testing facilities
  • Ensure TDL/LITL architecture has current software, hardware, and system capabilities
  • Recommend modifications and upgrades to improve interoperability with joint and combined forces
  • Attend continuing education classes to maintain knowledge
  • Support tactical data link monthly COMSEC requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
  • Tactical Data Link (TDL) experience, including Link-11 and Link-16
  • Experience in naval strike and air warfare training or large-scale fleet exercise and training support
  • Joint Range Extension (JRE) Link Monitoring and Management Tool (LMMT) operations experience
  • Air Intercept Controller (AIC) knowledge
  • Valid state Driver’s License
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Link Into Live (LITL), NGTS (Next Generation Threat System) operations experience preferred
  • Prior Operations Specialist preferred
  • Completed JT-102 - Multi-TDL Advanced Joint Interoperability Course (MAGIC)
  • Completed JT-101 - Introduction to Joint Multi-TDL Network Course
  • Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances
