About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as Engineering Technical Lead supporting NCTE Fleet Synthetic Training, LVC, and COCOM-level training events
  • Collaborate with operational and engineering leads to define, align, and execute technical requirements
  • Install and configure new NTB software releases, upgrades, and patches
  • Provide NTB setup and configuration support during training-event planning and execution
  • Evaluate and resolve moderately complex software-related problems
  • Develop manning and resourcing plans for NCTE training-event execution
  • Perform pre-event interoperability risk assessments and mitigation
  • Architect scalable systems for event-specific requirements
  • Generate and maintain formal architecture artifacts, including DoDAF SV-1 and SV-2
  • Develop and maintain technical architecture, configuration, and status documentation
  • Direct real-time technical operations and monitor end-to-end NTB system health during LVC events
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across LVC environments involving NTB interoperability, HLA/DIS protocols, and interface standards
  • Deliver rapid real-time technical support during LVC training exercises
  • Support Navy LVC training through the Navy Continuous Training Environment and Navy Training Baseline

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
  • Thorough understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Advanced capabilities including command line interface, scripting, network interface configuration, device configuration, domain management, and file sharing/mapping
  • Technical leadership ability
  • Ability to identify the appropriate engineering domain for technical issues and assign engineers to resolve them
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification required
  • Must currently hold and maintain a US Secret clearance
  • Ability to climb ladders and tolerate confined spaces and extreme temperature variances
  • Lifting and moving materials may be required
  • 0–10% required travel
