Key responsibilities & impact

Administer, maintain, and provide cybersecurity defense for Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network infrastructure
Update, monitor, and maintain Windows-based servers, virtual machines, and client systems
Ensure reliable operation and performance of multi-user Windows server and VMware systems
Manage VMware infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, performance tuning, and lifecycle maintenance of virtual machines
Perform Windows Server administration, including account management, GPO development, patching, and system configuration
Maintain system documentation and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity and configuration standards
Evaluate hardware and software solutions and coordinate installations
Manage system backups and recovery processes
Develop and enforce policies and standards for system resources, capacity allocation, and configuration management
Coordinate with network and systems administrators and collaborate with technical teams across the enterprise

What you’ll need

10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in a related field; 8 years with a Master’s; or 14 years relevant experience with a High School diploma/equivalent
Hands-on experience with VMware (ESXi, vCenter)
Familiarity with VDI technologies and connection protocols
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong customer service and communication skills
Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification
Must hold and maintain an active Secret security clearance
Preferred: Experience with Microsoft WSUS or SCCM for patch and configuration management
Preferred: Experience administering Windows Server 2019/2022 environments
Preferred: Experience with Windows desktop OS
Preferred: RedHat (RHEL 8/9) desktop administration experience
Preferred: Experience implementing DoD STIGs across Windows and virtualized systems
Preferred: Experience patching Windows servers and workstations in an enterprise environment
Preferred: Strong customer focus and ability to manage competing priorities
