About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Onboard customers to Mistral AI products and APIs
- Guide customers on prompting, evaluation, and fine-tuning
- Ensure effective production integration with back-end and front-end interfaces
- Develop state-of-the-art GenAI applications for consumer and industrial use cases
- Help deploy high-impact use cases into production across industries
- Collaborate with researchers, AI engineers, and product engineers on complex customer projects
- Work on fine-tuning, state-of-the-art LLM applications, inference, and open-source codebases
- Participate in pre-sales calls to understand client needs and challenges
- Provide technical guidance and explain Mistral technologies to stakeholders
- Collaborate with product and science teams to improve products and model capabilities based on customer feedback
- Manage daily customer relationships involving CEOs/CTOs, data scientists, and software engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fluent in English
- PhD or master in AI / data science
- 2+ years as a technical individual contributor (data scientist or software engineer) on AI-based products
- Experience in fine-tuning LLMs, advanced RAG, or agentic use cases
- Deep understanding of concepts and algorithms underlying machine learning and LLMs
- Experience building and deploying LLMs or NLP applications
- Proven experience in AI or machine learning product implementation with APIs, back-end, and front-end interfaces
- Strong technical coding skills in Python
- Experience with deep learning using PyTorch
- Experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain and vector databases
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Open-source contributions in the LLM space are ideally preferred
- Experience as a Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Product Manager is ideal
