About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide practical, hands-on legal advice on individual and collective employee relationships
  • Work closely with HR to implement solutions ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts
  • Advise on the employment lifecycle in alignment with French legal requirements and Mistral AI’s global policies
  • Advise on collective representation matters, including CSE and associated employee representative bodies
  • Collaborate with HR and local counsels to balance local legal requirements with operational efficiency
  • Provide guidance on cross-border employment issues, including secondments, remote work, and international mobility
  • Monitor and analyze labour law developments across key jurisdictions
  • Proactively adapt internal processes to regulatory developments
  • Serve as the legal liaison for Mistral’s HR teams
  • Collaborate with Legal teams and local external counsels worldwide

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Legal Master’s degree (Master’s in French Labour Law)
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience
  • Strong experience in French labour law, including individual and collective relationships
  • Good experience/exposure to other jurisdictions, ideally US and UK
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment and coordinating with teams across multiple jurisdictions
  • Expertise in handling legal aspects of employee relations
  • Expertise drafting and negotiating employment contracts and related contracts
  • Expertise managing legal aspects of employee collective representation
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to communicate legal advice and present legal concepts clearly and understandably
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
